Terms of Service

1. Description of the Service

NebulaCV provides tools to create, edit, tailor, and export resumes and related career documents, including features that use artificial intelligence ("AI"). The Service is provided "as is" and may change or be discontinued at any time with reasonable notice where practicable.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the authority to enter into these terms.

3. Accounts and authentication

You may need an account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users' data, or our systems.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service except as permitted by law.
• Upload malware, spam, or content that infringes others' rights or is harassing or hateful.
• Use the Service to generate misleading, fraudulent, or defamatory professional profiles.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms or to protect the Service and other users.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the resume text, files, and other content you submit ("User Content"). You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, store, and display User Content solely to operate, improve, and secure the Service—including processing through AI providers as described in our Privacy Policy.

You represent that you have the rights to your User Content and that it does not violate third-party rights. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of information in your resumes and applications.

6. AI-generated output

AI features may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate suggestions. You must review and edit all output before use. We do not guarantee job offers, interview results, or ATS scores. AI output is not legal, financial, or professional advice.

7. Subscriptions and payments

Paid plans may be billed through our payment partners (e.g., Paddle, regional providers). Fees, billing cycles, and taxes are shown at checkout. By purchasing, you agree to the payment provider's terms in addition to these Terms. Failure to pay may result in downgrade or loss of paid features.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, software, branding, and documentation, is owned by NebulaCV or its licensors. Except for your User Content, you receive no ownership rights. You may not copy our materials except as allowed for normal use of the Service.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEBULACV AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, AND EMPLOYEES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100), EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NebulaCV from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your User Content, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Changes

We may modify these Terms by posting an updated version on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-app notice where appropriate. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction we designate for disputes, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country apply.
